Terms of Service

1. Who can use Lumina

You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 16, a parent or legal guardian must agree to you using Lumina. Learners under 18 get extra protections in how the tutor behaves.

New accounts are reviewed and approved manually before they can be used.

2. The AI tutor

The tutor is an artificial intelligence, not a person. It can make mistakes, so check important information. It is a learning aid, not a replacement for teachers, official exam guidance or professional (medical, legal, psychological) advice.

Human tutors on Lumina are independent people; we review their applications but each lesson is between you and them.

3. Honest learning

Lumina helps you understand. You may not use it to cheat in tests or exams, or to hand in work written by the AI as your own. The tutor guides you with questions and hints rather than finished answers to graded work.

4. Acceptable use

Do not try to break, trick or misuse the tutor (for example by trying to get its hidden instructions), harass others, or upload content that is illegal, harmful or not yours to share.

5. Plans and limits

New learners get a 7-day trial with limited messages and voice minutes. After that a paid plan is needed. Usage limits reset monthly from your start date. Some people may get free test (beta) access granted by us.

6. Your content

Your notes, whiteboards and lessons belong to you. You let us store and process them only to provide the service. You can download them at any time in Settings.

7. Ending your account

You can delete your account and learning data at any time in Settings. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

8. Changes

If we change these terms in an important way, we will tell you in the app before the change applies.
