Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

Account details (email, name), your year of birth, learning preferences, tutor voice settings, lessons and chats, notes, whiteboards, quizzes, exams, review schedules and usage counts.

2. Why we use it

To run your lessons, remember your progress between lessons, keep the service safe and age-appropriate, and enforce plan limits. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

3. AI processing

Your messages, notes and whiteboard images are sent to trusted AI providers only to generate the tutor's replies, lecture notes, quizzes and speech. They are not used by us to build profiles for marketing.

Microphone audio is turned into text by a speech-to-text service. We keep the text in your lesson; we do not store the audio recording.

If you choose Studio Voice, the tutor's reply text is sent to ElevenLabs to produce speech.

4. Learners under 18

We collect only what is needed for learning. Under-16s need a parent's or guardian's consent, and we store the guardian's email for that purpose. The tutor never asks minors for personal details and follows extra safety rules.

5. Your rights

You can access, correct, download and delete your data. Use "Download your data" and "Delete account" in Settings. Contact contact@lumina.app with any privacy question or complaint; you can also contact the Polish data protection authority (UODO).

6. Storage and retention

Data is stored with our hosting provider in the EU where possible and kept while your account is active. Deleting your account removes your learning data permanently.

7. Security

Access to your data is limited to your account; staff access is restricted to what is needed to approve accounts and support you.
